This year marks 24 years of the establishment of the China-Africa (FOCAC) and 60th anniversary of China-Tanzania diplomatic ties. Auspiciously, the China-Africa Think Tanks Forum (CATTF) held its 13th Meeting in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania on March 7-9, 2024.

Africa Policy Institute was represented during the event by its Executive Director, Corporate Center and Senior Researcher with the China-Africa Center (CAC) at the Institute, Mr. Justus Thuthi. “The international community should deepen development cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect, solidarity, win-win cooperation, openness and common prosperity, thereby enhancing knowledge-sharing, ideological consensus as well as cultural co-prosperity”, Mr Thuthi said. The meeting called for the strengthening of China-Africa Ties at a time when the global community is facing threats from climate change, intra and interstate conflicts.
