Dr. Dennis Munene Mwaniki is the Director of Research and Executive Director at the Africa Policy Institute. He is also a non-resident Research Fellow with the Institute for Strategic and Policy Studies in South Sudan and a Senior Research Fellow with the International Policy Group.
With more than 10 years of experience, his work bridges political economy, geopolitical sustainability and international cooperation. His primary research areas are China-Africa Cooperation, Climate Change & Energy Transition, and Peace & Security.
Previously, he served at API as a Senior Policy Adviser, Researcher and Policy Analyst on Governance, Foreign Relations and Security, and also served as Personal Assistant to the President and CEO at the API Corporate Center.
