Prof. Yonas Adaye

Prof. Yonas Adaye

is the Associate Academic Director, and Assistant Professor of Peacebuilding and Security Sector Governance in Africa, Institute for Peace and Security Studies, Addis Ababa University.

He is a Member of the Organization for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa, Ethiopia Chapter, and a trainer of Diplomats since 2001 with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His research interests are mainly on security and development in post-conflict society, conflict transformation, peace education, security sector governance in Africa, among others.

He publishes in different journals such as the Journal of International Relations and Diplomacy, New York, and has also written books. Dr. Yonas holds a Ph.D. in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom
